Fine Living Network (also known as FLN or Fine Living) was an American specialty television network owned by Scripps Networks Interactive. From September 3, 2004 to October 19, 2009, a Canadian version of FLN was broadcast under the name Fine Living. It was replaced by a Canadian version of DIY Network.
In October 2009, it was announced that Fine Living Network would be re-branded as Cooking Channel, with content similar to sister channel Food Network. The original plan was to implement the change in the fall of 2010,[1] but it was later announced that the switch was being moved up to happen on May 31, 2010 to coincide with Memorial Day.[2]
Fine Living Network signed off for the last time on May 31, 2010 at 5:00am ET (4:00am CT). The last thing shown was a throwback of one of the network's launch promos depicting the Grim Reaper walking to a house's front door, holding a piece of paper with the Fine Living Network logo on it, and ringing the doorbell before a cut to black.[3]
